Esther Children's Home

The Esther Children's Home is a ministry of the Church of God in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, India. As of June 2010 there are 34 children who live in this home. Some are street children who have no idea who their mother or father is. Other children have a mom or dad, (some have both), but their parents are so poor that they can barely support themselves, let alone their children.

Building Hope Ministries is thankful that generous sponsors have provided month-to-month financial support for all 34 of these children. Donations of only $35.00 per month supply food, clothes, rent, medical, school supplies and miscellaneous needs, such as haircuts, for all sponsored children.

Today, there are more children that need sponsoring. The cost of sponsoring a child is only $1.15 per day. Please download, complete and mail in the BHM Sponsorship Form with your initial contribution to begin this process. Building Hope Ministries will send a photo to you of your child via email. We will also provide updates throughout the year.

As children come and go, and as the lives of our current sponsors are in a state of continual transition, the need will arise one day for a child to have a sponsor. If you are interested in this, please send an email to sponsor@buildhopenow.org and we can place you on a waiting list.

Building Hope Ministries recently traveled to the Esther Children's Home in June 2010 to visit the children. Sponsorship has truly made a difference in the lives of those who live at the Esther Children's Home. The children now have more food to eat, more clothes to wear, and are doing very well in their educational studies. Above all, they now have more hope and a confident spirit.

The children are currently staying in a rented home in Eluru which, by India standards, is condemned. They are always at the mercy of a landlord who could, at any time, demand that they leave the premises. Due to this uncertainty, Building Hope Ministries is prayerfully considering constructing a permanent dwelling for the children now living in the Esther Children’s Home. Currently, we are seeking land and developing plans for the actual building. Please keep this in your prayers.
