The Esther Children's Home is a ministry of the Church of God in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, India. As of June 2009 there are 32 children who live in this home. Some are street children who have no idea who their mother or father is. Other children have a mom or dad, (some have both), but their parents are so poor that they can barely support themselves, let alone their children.
Building Hope Ministries is thankful that generous sponsors have provided month-to-month financial support for each child. This alone is a tremendous praise report.
Currently, the children are staying in a rented home in Eluru. However, because of these circumstances, they are in danger of losing their shelter at a moments notice should the landlord sell the property or simply request that the children leave.
One of the visions of Building Hope Ministries is to build and staff a permanent facility for at least 75 children. This building would alleviate the concern of month-to-month rent and would build greater hope and confidence for those who live in the home.
It is our hope that this home can be constructed by the year 2012. For this to be possible, we need to begin raising funds now.
